Plastic Materials

All plastic materials that can be plated are applicable for shielding technology, it is simply a question of request. The plastic materials ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene) and PC (polycarbonate) are frequently used for shielding.

Advantages

Savings by applying less expensive plastic materials
Only a chemical process is necessary for high-frequency shielding

Disadvantages

Parts are not solderable when applying ABS and PC
